去年9月國際足聯舉行的世界杯主題曲公開徵選中，
K'naan自己寄送該曲過去，
因該曲帶有濃厚
的非洲氣息，並且歌詞表達對戰火、貧窮、落後的非洲不離棄的熱情和熱愛，
最終被認可並成為官方主題曲。
歌手簡介:
K'naan生於1978年，原籍索馬利亞的摩加迪沙 ，13歲離開索馬利亞，
姑姑是索馬利亞最有名的歌手。祖父，哈吉穆罕默德，是一個吟唱詩人。
K'naan也是一個穆斯林。後來隨著索馬利亞內戰的持續和索馬利亞的局勢繼續惡化而移民加拿
大。
K'naan
的音樂是談論索馬利亞的局勢，因為索馬利亞是他的祖國，他在歌曲中呼籲停止暴力和流血。
他特意避免一般饒舌陳腔濫調的姿態。
原本 wavine'flag 這首歌是獻給最近在海地因地震而喪命的亡靈，願他們永遠安息
這不同於混音版的世足主題曲 下面這就是原曲的版本
