民進黨立法院黨團29日完成立法院長人選協調，由蘇嘉全出線，總統當選人兼黨主席蔡英文表示，不論是陳明文，還是柯建銘，都是民進黨在國會當中的領袖級成員，他們展現出如此風範，更讓她感到欽佩。蔡英文說，這就是民進黨，不管怎麼樣的競爭，最後都能夠整頓腳步，團結向前。

蔡英文說，看到陳明文、柯建銘與蘇嘉全3位成功的完成協調，顯示出民進黨是個民主的政黨，講究的是每個人都有權利競爭，也有競爭的規則，而在競爭中，民進黨也是個能夠團結的政黨。

她表示，除了競爭外，總是能夠想到國家人民的期待是什麼，所以，在協調立法院長的過程當中，每一個人都沒有退卻，都勇於承擔，而這個協調的過程也讓黨可以更加的團結。

蔡英文表示，特別是陳明文，他的地方經營做得非常好，在立法院又有最好的人緣和最佳的協調能力，對陳明文能顧全大局，她表示深深的感謝。

蔡英文也特別感謝柯建銘，尤其是這麼多年來他的任勞任怨，對民進黨貢獻很多，在民進黨立院只有27席的那個最困難的時刻，柯建銘能夠帶領黨團守住社會多數人的利益，讓黨團可以反映民意，反映這個社會的期待，讓人民感受到民進黨團的努力。
