It's been almost three months since I joined the English Tour Guide Club. In the past three months, I've had a lot of fun that I just have to write it down and share with you all. But first of all, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank President Tom and all the members for receiving me with warmth from day one! I appreciate very much your kindness and your friendship!

I remember the first Creativity Session hosted by Tammy was filled with laughter. Tammy separated us into two groups. Each group was asked to take turns telling a story based on the pictures she gave us. It was a storytelling relay, and each of us had to act out our stories while telling something. I was surprised that we could still act silly and had so much fun just like kindergarten kids. After a few rounds, I was like laughing my head off! Finally it was almost a tie, but our team won according to the judge, Rick. I guess Little Jenny might have helped gain a bonus point. She is one hell of a comedian!

I enjoyed the following weeks even more. I was deeply impressed by each Creativity host and each speech maker. Everybody was so well prepared, and so knowledgeable about their topics. I admired your energy and enthusiasm. But in the meantime, honestly speaking, I was also intimidated. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to match up to your high standard. Therefore, when I took from Tom my first assignment to talk on onomatopoeia, I was both excited and nervous. Well, maybe nervousness over excitement. And then it turned out to be okay because my sweet fellow members were totally supportive!

With the positive speech experience, I gained confidence and decided to take a step further. I started singing in class. To my surprise, I even got generous help from Bruce's guitar for American Pie, Bruce's violin for Don't Cry For Me, Argentina, Shirley's alto for Seven Lonely Days, and even Bruce's cute karaoke device for Kiss Me Goodbye. At the end of the semester, Sharow played the electro-keyboard for The End of the World. I wish I had a talent for music like them!

We also had a chance to be away from the classroom before the semester ended; we went on a field trip to visit Dr. Sun Yet-sen's Hall. Through the efforts of Olga, it was a very fruitful day with so much information to absorb! Then came the party time. Tom and Michelle organized an amazing afternoon delight. Programs included Tang Tang's beautiful poetry reading, Jenny Chou and Sharow's Beauty Dance, Solana's musical instrument show, Heaven and Little Jenny's passionate belly dance with our Muscle-man Alfonso, Little Jenny and Bob's hilarious sexy musical "Summer Wine"....and more. I also shared the first music composition (Missing Parents) I have done from Music Composing 101Class at the Beitou Community College. The following karaoke time was also exciting. We enjoyed all the beautiful songs everybody brought: the tenor voices of Tom, Henry, and Bruce - perfect interpretation of love songs of our generation, Jay Chou's... Sorry, I mean "Jason's" songs from the "21st Century", and he did sing Jay Chou's! It was a crazy afternoon! And it was a wonderful way to end this semester!

All in all, I'm very thankful to have joined the ETGBC and made so many friends. I have a lot to learn from all of my talented fellow members. I can't wait to see you in class again. Before the next semester starts, I wish you all a beautiful fun-filled summer break!
