Right now, Taiwan has a new popular gesture. The gesture makes a fist and juts out the thumb. Then, the fingertip tend inclined beneath. It usually means something bad or someone personality isn’t nice. I think this gesture has a unfavorable meaning, so I don’t suggest to use it anywhere. In my hometown Taipei, a large protest activity is ongoing because our President and his family are involving many corrupt and political problems. The protesters want to remind the government honest. Therefore, they choose the Thumb’s Down for their gesture to show their minds.
