NFL／征戰19季 布雷迪總算衝破千碼
愛國者四分衛布雷迪（Tom Brady）閱讀防守和臨場反應能力都相當不錯，是典型的口袋型四分衛，但跑傳始終不是他的強項，周日主場24：10擊敗維京人的比賽，布雷迪達成一項特別的里程碑，生涯衝球突破1000碼。
打了19個球季，41歲的布雷迪生涯衝球總算突破千碼，本季他也多次拿這點來開玩笑。事實上，布雷迪花了265場例行賽才達標，是NFL史上花最多場比賽才達成的四分衛，先前紀錄是前巨人四分衛蒂托（Y.A. Tittle）161場，現役僅次布雷迪的選手是隼鷹四分衛萊恩（Matt Ryan），不過他只用156場。
布雷迪這場和里程碑只差5碼，他這場2次帶球，剛好衝出5碼，布雷迪賽後表示：「我衝球本來就不在行，必要時才跑一下，我可不想跑太多，一次拿個4、5碼就好，我的衝球對比賽差異不大。」
四分衛有時會在接球後，單腿跪地結束這檔進攻，通常是比賽時間所剩不多時，用來消耗時間確保勝利的一種戰術。沒有後退的情況下，紀錄上衝球碼數會被減少1碼，根據ESPN數據統計，布雷迪自2006年起，這樣的情況讓他被扣了160碼。

房東趕人 華裔住客反逼遷獲勝
不滿曼哈頓華埠顯利街(Henry St.)229-231號房東近年以「大樓非租金穩定樓宇」為由驅趕低收入家庭的眾華裔租客，經過持續上訴，日前獲得紐約州高等法院第一上訴法庭三名法官的一致裁決，表明房東無足夠證據證明該大樓不是租金穩定樓宇，要求房東不得隨便趕走住客。住客們9日再次聚集房東辦公室門口，呼籲房東承認229號和231號大樓為租金穩定樓宇，停止對住客的騷擾、禁止亂加租。
這兩棟樓宇的房客多為低收入華裔家庭，都是一家老小居住了十幾、二十年，樓房長期按租金穩定公寓的標準收取租金。不過近年來，房東Wayne Chan以大樓非租金穩定樓宇為由，開始驅逐租客，還把多名租客告上法庭。
在229號樓內居住了近20年的郭女士說，房東說大樓以前有過大裝修，所以不是租金穩定樓宇，不肯和租客續約，但他其實拿不出有過大裝修的證據，最後在紐約州高等法院第一上訴法庭中，三名法官認為房東證據不足，這對租客來說是一個重大進展。
組織華裔租客抗議的華人職工會指出，該房東在華埠其他街道還有十多處樓宇，樓內有些住戶也面臨被逼遷的困境，房東希望趕走低收入租客，然後把樓宇高價出租。職工會呼籲房東馬上承認229號和231號大樓為租金穩定樓宇，停止騷擾租客。
記者聯繫房東物業管理公司，但對方未作回應。
