60歲的王美華（寶媽）首次主持三立外景節目《青春好７淘》，與相差34歲的黃于恩（溫妮）組成「母女配」，她說：「這是我這輩子第一次累到連洗澡的力氣都沒有。」當初節目找她時心想：「我可能熬不過２集。」果然她錄完第１集就自覺不行，馬上找節目部總監謝岳龍開會，對方勸她：「把整個團隊當作孩子看待，就當成出去玩。」

寶媽接外景主持前，許多朋友要她當貴婦就好，但她仍想在退休前證明自己「我可以」。女兒曾寶儀怕媽媽主持不久，還說：「只要妳不行，我就幫妳代班。」並叮嚀：「活動要適合，不然看媽媽去衝浪也很奇怪。」被問到節目中會不會大秀比基尼？寶媽嚇到驚呼：「曾寶儀會殺了我。」

和汪建民分手１年多，她覺得自己一人也過得很好，「我現在很懂得經營簡單生活，要當我身邊的那個人會很辛苦。」現階段不會強求感情。之前胡瓜跟她說：「主持外景節目，有很多錢買不到的收穫。」當時她不理解，現在能體會這句話，「像人情味就買不到。」昨製作單位安排她出海玩水上摩托車，她臉色慘白說：「本來船搖晃我還能接受，後來坐水上摩托車，等待的時候晃得太厲害，一下摩托車就吐了。」
