The Bitan Lake is still as beautiful as it was when I  was young

A narrow entrance to a wide range of hills.

 The New Taipei City government has been trying hard to bring literature to this lake area

Legend has it that the tycoon Wang Yun-ching once lived across the river when he was very young. He had to take two ferries before he arrived at the school every morning.

A new good man scrubbing the floor to welcome the new year 

Again happily walking on the bamboo-lined trail leading to the ferry boat pier.

Standing as straight as the tall coconut trees.

The tidy little street and the fancy little shops.
