台灣左投陳偉殷效力的馬林魚隊，今續在主場迎戰來訪的老虎隊，派出古巴王牌費南德茲先發迎戰，他大展K功，主投5.2局就狂飆13K，只差生涯單場最多三振1次，卻遭猛虎打線砲擊，丟掉5分，終馬林魚以3比7苦吞開季2連敗，小費在主場17勝0敗的大聯盟紀錄也慘遭中止。

費南德茲今年有投球局數上限180局，開季擔任馬林魚隊先發輪值第2號投手，首次登板雖宰制力依舊，卻無法解決壘上有人局面，第2局先被老虎隊捕手索塔拉馬奇亞敲出2分砲，第6局又連續被敲出3安，加上中繼投手放火，他再丟3分，主投5.2局就用了106球。

費南德茲在主場的不敗神話破滅，他卻更在乎無法率馬林魚奪勝，他說：「我們輸球了，這是我唯一在意的事，至於我的紀錄，我並不在意。」馬林魚總教練麥汀利則肯定愛將表現，他說：「這就是典型的荷西（費南德茲的名），很棒！」

老虎隊V.馬丁尼茲今在第8局登場代打，再度敲出2分砲，讓他成為大聯盟自1900年以來，首度在球隊開季前2戰以代打身分都開轟的球員，締造難得紀錄。

此外，開幕戰遭擊中左手肘的陳偉殷，儘管有腫脹情況，但傷勢並無大礙，總教練麥汀利已宣布殷仔將按照輪值班表，繼續擔任馬林魚的頭號先發。殷仔預計在台灣時間下週二在大都會客場先發，對決強投「黑暗騎士」哈維。
