這首歌的演唱者：亞特葛芬柯，就是70年代紅極一時的「賽門與葛芬柯二重唱」中的葛芬柯。兩人在推出經典名曲「惡水上的大橋」之後各自單飛，嗓音動人的葛芬柯因為創作能力較弱，只有零星幾首暢銷曲，之後就慢慢淡出歌壇。另一位保羅賽門在拆夥後仍佳作不斷，80年代並因從事非洲、南美原住民音樂與搖滾樂的融合實驗，連續推出幾張專輯均受到各界的讚譽，而成為大師級的人物。
