登革熱疫情持續蔓延，國軍第五作戰區昨（十五）日由指揮官陳寶餘中將召集作戰區內「防治登革熱具體作法」會議，會中除要求各級部隊應加強衛生教育，以強化官兵自我防護及防疫觀念外，並就各項防疫具體規劃實施探討，期能有效杜絕登革熱傳染途徑。

國內迄今已有近萬名登革熱確診病例，顯示疫情防治工作相當嚴峻，國軍第5作戰區依國防部「防疫視同作戰」及「防止疫情擴散」指導，配合地方政府積極投入各項防疫工作，以確保轄內官兵及民眾生命安全。
