Alicia Keys to Front Givenchy's Upcoming Fragrance
For Parfums Givenchy's next fragrance, which is slated to launch in September, Alicia Keys is set to front its advertising campaign.
"I'm honored to introduce the world to the newest scent by Givenchy," the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Keys commented to WWD. "Givenchy has long been one of the world's most iconic luxury fashion houses and a personal favorite of mine."
Although this may be Keys' first contract with Givenchy, she's not avert to designer collaborations.
For Keys' World on Fire tour last year, she teamed up with Akris, Michael Kors, Hervé Léger and Maison Michel to help ensure she kept to her signature, streamlined style. Additionally, Albert Kriemler of Akris customized several runway looks, as WWD noted.

"While Albert was designing his fall ready-to-wear collection I was in the beginning phases of planning for Alicia's tour. When we began to collaborate on her wardrobe, he found great ways to take the spirit of that collection and translate it into a series of show-worthy looks. Alicia loves fashion but she ultimately likes to keep her wardrobe uncomplicated, so we wanted to keep the silhouette clean and really focus on great fabrics and flattering shapes," Keys' stylist, Laura Jones, commented.
For the same tour, Jones did make a reference to Keys' love for Givenchy. Although unconfirmed, maybe it was a precursor as to what was to come.
"She loves shoes and has a very impressive collection ranging from basic sneakers to one-of-a-kind couture heels. She has some amazing custom Givenchy heels that she absolutely adores."
Previous to that tour, Keys worked with Giorgio Armani who designed her wardrobe with a soft hand that included pieces such as a one-shoulder silk chiffon gown that had a beaded bustier with Swarovski crystals and sequins.
Although there aren't too many details about the Keys and Parfums Givenchy's upcoming collaboration, one thing we do know for sure is that it's bound to be one creative and well-executed campaign.
