附記： 500 Miles 是1960年代流行的鄉村歌曲，有許多歌手唱過，以Pete, Paul and Mary合唱的最受歡迎。歌曲輕快流暢，反覆的旋律強調已經離家有多遠，以及出外打拼，期望他日衣錦還鄉和思鄉的心情。1965年我考上台北的大學，經常從新竹搭火車慢車北上，還有大學畢業後到台灣南部服預備軍官役時，心中經常響起的一首曲子。
