前總統馬英九申請前往香港演講，被總統府駁回，馬英九今天上午九點半開記者會說明，並接受提問。馬英九原本應亞洲出版業協會邀請，計畫今晚出席在香港會展中心舉行的亞洲卓越新聞獎頒獎典禮，發表英文專題演講。但總統府駁回申請案，馬英九最後透過錄影方式發表演講。馬英九在錄影演說表示，他缺席的原因有點奇怪，上任不到1個月的台灣新政府認為，他的香港行可能對國家安全造成問題，包括可能洩漏國家機密，以及對他的人身安全保護有所不足。
