前總統馬英九今天與美國聖母大學學生座談，暢談他在市長任內打造台北成為亞洲對同志最友善的都市經驗。他對同性婚姻指出，「我不保守，但要改變家庭結構要很審慎。」
馬英九在聖母大學與一百多名來自中台港美學生晚宴，餐後讓學生不設限發問。
馬英九主動提及引起社會爭論的婚姻平權議題，以及他擔任市長期間提出預算，舉辦「台北同玩節」，如今台北每年舉辦同志大遊行，並成為亞洲對同志最友善城市的經驗。
