陳偉殷相隔1年1個月之後與老搭檔韋特斯（見圖，法新社）合作的第1場比賽，就是場振奮巴爾的摩全城與金鶯全隊士氣的上乘之作。此役整場只用2小時09分，來自陳偉殷完全壓制對手與金鶯超強投捕搭檔合作暢快。

陳偉殷過去3季先發與韋特斯搭配最多場次，他從2012年菜鳥球季起，就是藉由韋特斯的引導展開大聯盟生涯。對陳偉殷而言，韋特斯是他「最熟悉的搭檔」，而可以預期的是，鐵捕歸位將令他在2015合約年拚戰績爭取未來更優渥合約有加分的輔助。

去年4月28日陳偉殷對雙城7局只失2分，是他與韋特斯上季合作的最後一戰，接著韋特斯移植韌帶術，休養1年本月歸隊。

昨役，陳偉殷對於韋特斯配球照單全收，與去年他投出16勝生涯年，由自己積極配球（與約瑟夫搭配14場）呈現很不同景象。

而韋特斯則是頻頻示意陳偉殷投得好，特別是8局上陳偉殷投了1顆沒得主審青睞的刁鑽滑球，韋特斯馬上點頭稱讚來激勵。

「韋特斯引導了一場很棒的比賽，我依照他的要求，很早就使用一些變化球，這與我原本習慣有點不同，但我願意嘗試，很高興我能夠依照要求投出想要的結果。」這是陳偉殷的感謝。

韋特斯是位能攻善守、「金手套」級的鐵捕，他在陳偉殷投球時攻、守兩端都能提供給強大的奧援，接下來，大家還可期待兩人繼續配出更多場傑作。
