立法院長王金平15日舉行記者會正式表態，不會領表投入黨內總統初選，國民黨誰選2016更加渾沌，藍委不耐情緒也終於爆發。與馬英九總統及王都交好的北市藍委林郁方痛批，國民黨到現在找不到有勝選希望的參選人，「主席朱立倫、馬英九總統都在睡覺嗎？怎麼會無能成這樣？」若朱無法解決黨內的問題，找出最強人選，「那就閃一邊去，辭職好了」。

林郁方質疑，朱立倫只會整天講照程序來、只會講不要亂放話，但「哪個政治人物沒有被放話過，當政黨領袖，還怕被放話？」，馬英九也不要以為不是黨主席，就沒義務解決黨內問題，他也算是領導階層，「你們（馬、朱）睡飽了沒？可以醒來做一些事了嗎？」挺王藍委盧嘉辰則說，王金平深知黨這時應以團結為重，他不去領表，就是要讓黨更加團結，國家才能安定，他尊重王的決定。

已領表的立法院副院長洪秀柱則說，看到王金平的退選聲明，「我心裡蠻難過的」，王是有感而發，因為社會氛圍真的很不好，流言滿天、說長道短，使得檯面上有意參選的人，被各種小道消息干擾，導致最後不太願意參選。

前衛生署長楊志良表示，他早預測王不會領表，他尊重王的決定，民主政黨就是要公開，經過黨的程序決定誰代表黨，「這樣是最能團結的」，至於藍委希望黨內天王能站出來當領軍，楊則說，「我覺得，我才是天王」。
