-- You have to satisfy four primary influencers: employees, customers, suppliers, investors
-- You have to meet in four dimensions: visual, emotional, functional, financial
* In a free market system:
-- Businesses don’t exist by right
-- People can’t be regarded as a problem
-- Service is an incomplete word
-- Everyone keeps working on how to deliver more all the time
-- You either become the “lawn” or the “lawn mower”
* Genuine E-Myth Enterprises:
-- Appeal to the imagination
-- Strike a chord and resonate with those who are being served
-- Use energy in profound and compassionate ways
-- Transcend the mundane and do great things
-- Give everyone infinitely more life and vitality
* Skills: concentration, discrimination, organization, innovation, communication
* Six components of visual images: color, form, scale, order, detail, information
* Seven rules of emotional vitality: people need order in their lives, need to be heard, like to connect with big ideas, need to have purpose, crave moral authority, like to feel important, need to feel loved
* There is often debate about whether it’s better for a company to be: people oriented or process oriented
