□Suzhou Museum
Suzhou Museum was established in 1960 as part of a national reevaluation of historical buildings for preservation. It is the former residence of the Zhong Prince of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, and its architecture is completely intact as a historical building. This museum is a three-tiered synthesis of innovative landscape gardening as well as ancient and modern architecture.
Suzhou Museum is truly outstanding for the nature of its architecture, in particular, the building』s harmony with the surrounding natural environment, its unique handling of space, top-quality building materials, exquisite interior design, as well the abundance of natural lighting.

□Pingjiang Historical Area
Pingjiang is an Old Street in Suzhou, winding along the banks of the Pingjiang River. As the most well-preserved district in Suzhou, it is the epitome of an 「Old Town」. In 2009, Pingjiang Road ranked first on a list of China』s ten greatest historical and cultural streets.

Suzhou Museum』s Hours: Tuesday-Sunday: 09:00~17:00. At 4:00 PM you may no longer enter the museum. On Monday the museum is closed (except on national holidays). Tickets are free.
