2012年中華民國總統大選不到100天，海外選民登記狀況未盡理想，大洛杉磯地區有約5萬合格選民，至今卻只有約1000人登記，與2008年總統大選的5000人相差甚遠，26日大洛杉磯地區選民登記服務處呼籲，無分黨派請於11月19日截止前完成登記。
現階段，洛杉磯地區有蒙特利公園市三處、羅蘭岡一處、橙縣一處提供選民登記服務。國民黨美國西南支部秘書孫浩倫說，已有約300人完成手續，另各個旅行社也有數百人登記，初估有1000多人確定1月14日返台投票。
美國西南支部輪值常委廖介民、謝宗煌與姚其川等均出席。孫浩倫表示，選民登記處與華航合作，提供返台投票選民機票優惠，依照停留天數分三種團：七天團、一個月助選團與三個月輔選團。他解釋投票團有機票使用限制，包括不得累積里程、不得更改日期、不可退票等，班機號碼為白天航班CI005，民眾返台若有意更改行程或往第三地，請自行與旅行社聯繫，選民登記處不提供旅遊諮詢。價格方面，孫浩倫說含稅價約800到1000元間，比坊間自購機票便宜。
