My old hometown was Funing County(阜寧縣), Jiangshu Province in Nationalist era, and now is a municipal county of Yancheng City(鹽城市).  So I can regard Yancheng as my hometown too.  Attached below is is a report concerning a long afforested strip in the city:

P.S. My old hometown, either Funing or Yancheng, used to be the poorer part in Jiangsu Province, mostly because of its alkali soil, which is suitable for economic crops only.  You know, my grandfather was one of the pioneers of the days who were knowlegeable of planting cotton so as to become rich landlords.  How is Funing now?  I really hope I could visit my hometown someday in the rest of my life.
