洪秀柱的回答也不是完全沒有道理，因為我們可以舉不少例子來佐證這句話，諸如王永慶、郭台銘，國外的Bill Gates, Steven Jobs等等，他們的學歷不高，卻是一方之霸。當然我們也可以舉台積電的張忠謀和中央研究院的前院長李遠哲與現任院長翁啟惠作為反證，因為他們都有高學歷。根據二十世紀知名的科學哲學家Karl Popper的理論，所謂的科學就是可能隨時被推翻的定理，一項假說（hypothesis）可能有成千上萬個證據來支持，但是只需要一個反證就可以推翻這項假說。學歷與能力是否有關係？應該是有的，但不是必然關係，還有其它因素存在，特別是如果我們定義的能力是做好事的能力。
