１９８３年，美國歌壇搖滾女王琳達朗絲黛（Linda Ronstadt）轉向復古路線, 陸續推出兩張傳統流行／爵士翻唱大碟［What’s New］（美國＃３　銷售３白金），［Lush Life／華麗生活］（美國＃１３，１白金）．

叫好叫座　讓她成功轉型為復古抒情歌姬

１９８６年１０月　４０歲的琳達發行復古爵士三部曲的最後一張作品［For Sentimental Reasons］（Asylum唱片發行）．

仍由英國製作人Peter Asher掌舵，指揮家尼爾森瑞鐸（Nelson Riddle）編曲（這也是他最後一張參與的專輯，１９８５年１０月去世,享壽６４歲）

繼續翻唱許多經典名曲

樂評好壞參半, 其中滾石雜誌給予３星評價

相對前兩張大碟,排行榜表現亦沒有先前亮眼, 只拿到Billboard專輯榜＃４６

但靠著口碑長賣, 美國銷售仍突破１００萬張, 成為琳達第１１張白金唱片．

１９８６年底推出第二主打［(I Love You) For Sentimental Reasons／(我愛你)因為深情的因素］

其B面歌曲為專輯曲目［Straighten Up and Fly Right／挺直身子,向右飛］．

此曲由納京高（Nat King Cole）, Irving Mills譜寫

１９４３年由京高三人組（King Cole Trio）灌錄, 大受歡迎,登上Billboard單曲榜＃９

此後被眾多藝人翻唱過．

琳達版被製作成首融合爵士／搖擺樂的歌曲
