１１月推出的［The Preacher’s Wife］大碟（Arista／BMG出版）共有１５首歌曲全由休斯頓演唱,

製作群包括Mervyn Warren／Ricky Minor／Steve Lipson／Babyface／David Foster,以及休斯頓。

曲風包括福音, 靈魂, R&B以及流行 ,　樂評頗佳。 

商業也算成功, 登上Billboard專輯榜＃３（1997年終#17）　至今在美賣出三百多萬張（３白金）
