有關顏色的英文

在英文中，有這多片語都跟顏色有關，在這兒提出來跟大家分享一下下，也歡迎大家一起來補充。

1.in the pink = in good health

She is 80 years old but she is still in the pink . 

2.in the red 赤字

ex. I'm in the red . = I am broke (我破產了）

3.see red 生氣，如鬥牛看到紅的布就生氣

　ex. I am seeing red . 我可要發火了。

4.green with envy　嫉妒死了

　ex. I'm green with envy . 

5.I am still green at my job . 此處的green指生澀，對工作還是生手。

6.blue 憂鬱

　ex . Why are you so blue today ?

7.yellow 膽小沒有勇氣

　ex. Don't be so yellow . Go ahead and propose to her . (propose to someone是向某人求婚的意思）

8.black and blue 因挨打而鼻青臉腫

　ex. After the fight , both the boxers got black and blue . 

9.gray 灰色，但是說人有白頭髮不是用white hair，而是用gray hair，而gray有時引申用來指法律的灰色模糊地帶。

　ex. The case falls in the gray area of the law . 

10.white with fear 嚇得臉色發白。

　ex. He turned white with fear . (他嚇得臉色發白）
