專家警告，未來恐怕會發生更多恐攻，因為對於IS在內的伊斯蘭恐怖組織而言，齋戒月是發動恐攻的大好時機，尤其是齋戒月的第27日，該日也稱為「大能之夜」（Night of Power），是先知穆罕默德首次得到古蘭經頭幾節經文啟示的神聖日子，也是聖戰士視為殉身的吉日。
