（中央社記者葉素萍華盛頓3日電）民進黨總統參選人蔡英文在華盛頓時間3日下午出席在美國國會山莊的歡迎酒會；與會的眾議員送上自由雕像（Statue ofFreedom），蔡英文感謝國會長久以來對台灣的支持。

由「台灣人公共事務會（FAPA）」主辦的蔡英文歡迎酒會，今天在國會山莊舉行，包括，美國聯邦眾議院外交委員會主席羅艾斯（Ed Royce）、眾議員羅斯雷提能（Ileana Ros-Lehtinen）、趙美心、夏波（Steve Chabot）、薛曼（Brad Sherman）等十餘位國會議員到場歡迎。

羅斯雷提能致贈自由雕像（Statue of Freedom）給蔡英文；夏波則提到，很高興看到前總統陳水扁現在與家人在一起。

蔡英文致詞時，感謝國會議員長久以來對台灣的支持，民主以及對民主的信念，是雙方共同價值，也是友誼的基石。

蔡英文也說，希望國會支持台灣加入經濟組織，減少台灣對單一市場的經濟依賴，確保台灣經濟自主。

台灣人公共事務會（FAPA）會長高龍榮說，希望台灣不再受過時的「一中政策」逼迫而成為國際孤兒，台灣是自由民主國家，應如其他國家一樣，被正常對待，並且成為聯合國、國際衛生組織和其他各國際組織中的一員。1040604
