美國國務院2日表示，已經知道北韓再度發射飛彈的訊息，並予以強烈譴責。
北韓在今天(3日)從首都平壤(Pyongyang)西南方的黃海南道(South Hwanghae)發射一枚彈道飛彈。這是繼7月19日發射3枚飛彈後，北韓再度違抗聯合國安全理事會決議案的舉動。
美國國務院發言人梅森(Julia Mason)表示，對於北韓的挑釁舉動，美國仍將繼續和全世界的盟邦以及伙伴合作，做出回應；並對可能來自北韓的攻擊或挑釁，採取共同防衛行動。
梅森並且強調，北韓發射飛彈只會進一步強化國際社會採取行動的決心。
