Yesterday was a very happy day in local education. Kathy Nimmer, a English teacher at Harrison High School, were really surprised to have Indiana's top education officials gather/gathering in her classroom. They were there to celebrate a enormously impressive accolade. Although she have received many awards in the past, they are definitely not the reason behind her passion for teaching. And while the fact she is blind makes her more inspiring to people, her humor and highly interactive classroom are the biggest reasons she was voted Indiana's Teacher of the Year.
