今天陳偉殷與王建民都穿上42號球衣，原來是因為今天是美國時間4月15日的「羅賓森日」，大聯盟為紀念史上首位在大聯盟出賽的黑人選手羅賓森（Jackie Robinson），從2009年起宣布在這天，所有球員都穿著42號球衣，就連官網所有選手的個人資料都改成42號，藉此向這位傳奇球星致敬。

1947年4月15日羅賓森穿上42號球衣於道奇登上大聯盟，成為首位在大聯盟出賽的黑人選手，在此之前黑人選手不被允許在大聯盟出賽；而他能夠踏上大聯盟，象徵著種族平等的里程碑。

1997年大聯盟在羅賓森初登場滿50周年這天，讓所有球員穿上42號球衣，並在2004年正式將每年的4月15日訂為羅賓森日。

過去只有郭泓志在2008、2009年，於效力道奇時在羅賓森日登板，如今陳偉殷先發對勇士，成第二位在羅賓森日登板的台灣投手。
