塞爾提克最終戰績亦為48勝34敗，排名東區第五連兩季進軍季後賽，首輪將面對第四位老鷹，本季雙方四次交手，老鷹有著3比1優勢。但湯瑪斯和後衛布萊德利(Avery Bradley)並不擔心，他們對季後賽到來都感到興奮和充滿信心。
