蔣萬安昨上午跑完行程後，因連日勞累身體不適赴醫院就醫，下午才繼續謝票行程，濃濃鼻音讓不少支持者心疼，要他多休息，把身體養好再戰立院。
面對這次國民黨慘敗，蔣萬安沒因個人勝選感到開心。蔣萬安說，現在國民黨有兩大困境，第一就是過去被質疑黨意與民意落差大，所以黨的政策未來必須符合民意，另外是人才斷層，國民黨應廣納年輕人，給年輕人多點參政的機會。
蔣萬安表示，未來的黨主席絕對要能貼近民意，才能領導國民黨重新站起來，現在有很多優秀前輩有意參選黨主席，但要能夠獲得黨員認同與支持最重要。
另外，蔣萬安也認為，國民黨的大老文化需要通盤檢討，雖然不是一下子就能改過來，但也是未來努力的方向。
過去有黨員批評參選黨主席需繳交高額保證金，蔣萬安表示，選前是否修改規則，都應照規則走，才符合公平原則；至於是否降保證金，並非他可決定。
