《Ave Maria》，舒伯特（Franz Schubert）在（1825年）二十八歲時寫下的這首曲。
有人說，這是巴哈的G弦之歌《Air on the G String》之外，另一首最能感動人心、撫慰傷口的歌曲。不過，不但詞曲有好多個版本，不同的演唱者也詮釋出很多不同風格的版本。我手上就有Hayley Westenra、Russell Watson、Placido Domingo、Sissel Kyrkjebo、Vitas、……，幾乎所有用美聲唱法的歌唱家，他們的音樂CD裡都會收錄這一首。卻不知為何很多的耶誕音樂會的曲目裡也都有這一首？！
才疏學淺的我，不知道它是以何種語言寫成，也問過了一些朋友，他們也說不是法文、義大利文，那應是拉丁文或是德文的經文囉？
這是一首純潔少女為了代父贖罪，向聖母馬利亞祈禱的歌曲；歌曲和緩的鋪陳延漫，有如河水潺潺而流。曲中表現少女從心底發出的虔誠的禱告心情，充滿了對慈悲聖母的信仰與依歸。這是中文直譯做“聖母頌”的原因吧？！
現在，我們就來聽聽由Il Divo（美聲男伶）唱的吧？！雖然，我家“隱者”認為「女聲比較符合故事情節」啦！

It was during this tour that he produced his "Songs from Sir Walter Scott". This cycle contains his famous and beloved Ellens dritter Gesang (D.839). This is today more popularly, though mistakenly, referred to as "Schubert's Ave Maria"; while he had set it to Adam Storck's German translation of Scott's hymn from The Lady of the Lake that happens to open with the greeting Ave Maria and also has it for its refrain, subsequently the entire Scott/Storck text in Schubert's song came to be substituted with the complete Latin text of the traditional Ave Maria prayer; and it is in this adaptation that this song of Schubert's is commonly sung today

小時候在天主堂唱經﹐就是這種發音﹐有很多字和義大利語也有點像。
