The preschool educational television program Sesame Street has aired on public broadcasting television stations since its premiere on November 10, 1969.  《芝麻街》Sesame Street）是由美國芝麻街工作室製作的一檔著名的兒童教育電視節目，自1969年在美國公共電視台（PBS）首播以來，已經陪伴全球140多個國家超過1億兒童健康快樂成長，榮獲150多次艾美獎，芝麻街也因此被譽為全世界最長的街道。節目最初是由兒童電視工作室（Children's Television Workshop）製作，後來由2000年分支出來的芝麻街工作室（Sesame Workshop）繼續製作。芝麻街最為人熟悉的部份，正是節目中採用布偶（Puppet）作為大部份角色，布偶是由著名木偶師吉姆·亨森（Jim Henson）創造。

• 1973年，《芝麻街》的「大鳥」首次來到中國，與中央電視台拍攝《大鳥在中國》特別節目。
• 1998年，芝麻街工作室與上海電視台合作拍攝104集中文版《芝麻街》節目。
