一旦055型導彈驅逐艦服役，將僅次於美國DDG-1000,成為當今世界第二強大導彈驅逐艦.

NATO,及日本平評論稱呼，中國海軍在2014年最引人矚目的是055型萬噸級導彈驅逐艦專案的建造啟動。這種新型驅逐艦採用的通用垂直發射，可發射防空、反潛、反艦導彈，也可發射陸攻巡航導彈，是僅次於美軍的一種先進發射方式。該型艦的綜合戰力超過美軍“阿里伯克”級和日韓“宙斯盾”艦，僅次於美國最新的DDG-1000。

筆者的Blog曾經報導,中國海軍秘密建設的第四艦隊的主力戰艦,就是055D,由英國情報單位得知055D的基本數據及SPEC,所以西方NATO 稱為中國西海艦隊,其中英國不顧及NATO.美國反對已經放話,邀請中國海軍參加環大西洋軍演,在英國北海201801,其目的就是要協助中國測試055D,在惡劣的海象中操舟,其船艦的設備,因為英國本身造艦技術已經落後,而造船成本高漲,不是英國人納稅可以負擔的起,在者就連蘇俄,都已經向中國採購3艘054A導向飛彈護衛艦,應急使用佈署俄羅斯遠東太平洋艦隊,由此觀之中國海軍造船技術,已達國際水準,否則蘇聯怎能要購買中國貨? 俗又大碗,

The Type 055 destroyer is a class of guided missile destroyers being developed in China for the People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force. There have been two versions of the Type 055, the first one was a much earlier proposed destroyer design that was eventually cancelled, and the other is a modern design using the same "Type 055" designation according to many internet claims, which has yet to be verified by official or independent sources.

Photos appearing on Chinese websites in 2014, revealed that an engineering mockup facility of the Type 055 was built in Wuhan, used for testing electronics, with a Type 346/348 series radar and an integrated mast similar to Advanced Enclosed Mast/Sensor on European ships. The Type 055 may also have an L-band radar installed on the aft section of the ship similar to the British Type 45's S1850M system. The class is expected to be armed with 112 to 128 vertical launch missile cells that can fire antiship missiles, ASW missiles, land-attack cruise missiles or SAMs.^[4]

In late December 2014, a photograph appeared on the internet indicated the first steel cut ceremony at a Chinese shipyard.^[5] If the image is accurate, construction of the first unit has begun.^[6]

U.S. media sources have speculated that the Type 055's power and strength could make it on-par with the latest U.S. Navy Aegis warships. Some U.S. sources predict the Type 055 could carry 128 missiles, be able to carry out in-depth strikes through cruise missiles to protect its task force's airspace, and might be equipped with electromagnetic railguns and laser weapons in the future. The semi-official PLA Daily, published an article however stating the class is not a "game changing" vessel as it's not much larger than contemporary Russian, Japanese, or American destroyers, and will only be equivalent to the U.S. Arleigh Burke-class destroyer or Japanese Atago-class destroyer.^[

A picture has just emerged on the Chinese internet showing that construction of the first Type 055 destroyer may have started. The Type 055 guided missile destroyer is the next generation destroyer designed for the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy).

According to Chinese sources, the picture was taken last week at the Changxing Jiangnan shipyard (member of CSSC - China State Shipbuilding Corporation) near Shanghai. It shows a sign with the mention "Commencement Ceremony for the Construction of 055 destroyer number 1". Such ceremonies are common practice in Chinese naval shipyards and should the picture be authentic, this would indicate that construction of the first Type 055 destroyer has indeed just started with the first cut of steel ceremony.

According to Chinese media, the Chinese government awarded the contract for construction of the first ship of the class to Changxing Jiangnan shipyard in August. According to the same sources, the second Type 055 destroyer will be built at the Dalian naval shipyard (Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company member of CSIC - China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation).

055型導彈驅逐艦，全長183米，寬22米，標準排水量12000噸。055型驅逐艦所要採用的雷達，為多模態新一代有源相控陣雷達，其探測距離可達600公里，可以監控數百批次的目標，在全自動模式下，自動把目標分配給相應的作戰單元(包括本艦及其他作戰單元.，從而組成艦隊綜合作戰體系。該艦一旦服役後將成為世界第二大導彈驅逐艦。

055型驅逐艦具有較大的排水量、較高的續航力、較長的自持力和全球適航性。預計該型號驅逐艦的正常排水量在 12000噸左右，艦型為高平甲板、全燃動力、雙軸、雙調距槳的大型導彈驅逐艦，可搭載兩架直升機。

該艦具有強悍的單艦綜合作戰能力，具有遠、中、近三層軟硬武器先期預警防禦網和攻擊火力網。具有防空、反潛和反艦能力，也可執行對陸攻擊和遂行火力支援的任務。

在立體化海上綜合作戰群中，承擔指揮艦任務，能指揮數個海面戰術作戰編隊和多艘潛艇以及多批次空中作戰飛機。具有接收和回饋天基、空基和陸基目指資訊能力，可與陸基和空基指揮所同步作戰綜合態勢，即時決策。指揮本作戰群空中、水面和水下作戰單元的作戰行動，可調用被轄艦艇和飛機的作戰資訊，並可對所轄任意艦船上的武器進行統一的直接火力控制。
 

在航母戰鬥群中，055型驅逐艦承擔編隊防空、反艦、反潛和遂行對陸攻擊作戰任務。

055型驅逐艦作戰系統組態上具有較為先進的電子武器裝備，根據055型驅逐艦的作戰使命的定位，採用頂層設計，層層分解的方式，優化架構的合理性和集成度，指揮與控制一體化。實現標準資訊、通用基準完全共用，設備小型化、通用化、集成化、標準化。在雷達、電子對抗及通信天線的高度集成化的條件下，艙面電子設備佈局將會非常簡練，而開放式通用介面顯控機櫃給後續升級工作帶來便捷。在作戰流程上，簡化指揮層級，減少戰位，減輕操作人員的工作強度。

該艦裝備的新型導彈通用垂直發射系統，可以實現多彈種的共架儲運發射，能相容新型“海紅旗-9改”(HHQ-9A)遠端反導防空導彈、“海紅旗-16”(HHQ-16)中程防空導彈、“鷹擊-18”(YJ-18)遠端反艦導彈、“東海-10”(DH-10)反艦巡航導彈等.
