今年5月就發現右手肘有骨刺，唐肇廷為了球隊戰績考量仍帶傷上陣，今天(2日)統一獅發布聲明，他將在7月底開刀根治宣告本季提前報銷。

5月13日唐肇廷右手不適無法傳球，醫生檢查後發現右手肘有骨刺，但他決定先透過訓練及消炎藥調整狀況，繼續上場為球隊貢獻。

昨天唐肇廷跟教練團、醫生商討之後，獅隊對於他的未來充滿期待，決定7月底開刀根除骨刺，期待趕上今年秋訓完整復健，展望明年能有完整春訓，重回一軍戰場幫助球隊。

唐肇廷說：「這是1個沉痛的決定，原本希望能撐到球季結束，也自認為自己可以撐下去。但持續不舒服的狀況之下，決定先開刀，也許今年球季已經報銷，但仍會維持其他基本訓練，讓自己更好更棒的回到球場上。」

今年出賽42場，唐肇廷打擊三圍0.331/0.378/0.415(打擊率/上壘率/長打率)，2支全壘打10分打點3次盜壘成功。
