新北市八仙樂園發生塵爆意外，新北市長朱立倫當下宣布八仙樂園無限期關園停業，接受調查，讓八仙樂園的員工擔心自己可能領不到薪水，生計恐受影響。新北市政府勞工局強調，儘管新北市將究責，但也維護員工應有權益，經與園方協調，包括工讀生及60多名正職人員的薪資不受關園影響，仍能正常支領薪水。
由於朱立倫已下令八仙樂園無限期關園，加上八仙樂園也恐將為這起意外負起賠償責任，讓員工擔車貸試算心自己將沒有薪水可領。新北市勞工局長謝政達說，市否會維護勞工權益，傷者雖無法確定未來復原情形，但勞工局將確保受傷勞工的工作權益，受傷勞工能否留職停薪，勞工局會介入協調。
