此次奧斯卡為了挽救收視率做了許多變革，其中最佳剪輯、最佳佈景設計、最佳妝髮、最佳原創音樂、最佳音效、最佳紀錄短片、最佳動畫短片、最佳實景短片共8項大獎都是提早頒獎，然後在頒獎典禮中播放剪輯過後的得獎畫面，這曾引起許多演藝人員與從業人員砲轟，然而實際看完後，真的覺得傳統的頒獎典禮形式還是最為尊重得獎者啊！至於，《犬山記》沒拿下最佳影片，真讓人感到失望！和《斷背山》一樣悲情，不受評審喜愛。第94屆奧斯卡頒獎典禮，被威爾史密斯事件攻占各大媒體版面，誰還會在乎得獎名單，可憐所有電影團隊和典禮幕前幕後的工作人員。
