.On this day we commemorate the 81st anniversary of D-Day , it is important to note all of the countries who participated in this major undertaking. Though the majority of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, troops from many other countries participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, in all the different armed services: Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia ( Czech Republic), France (especially the French Resistance), Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland.
