U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recently released the latest GATEWAY report titled ” pedestrian -friendly outdoor lighting” . Because roads and pedestrian lighting and area lighting have different criteria , GATEWAY tracked pedestrian -level lighting project containing two multiple physical models – one at Stanford University in California and the other is located in Chautauqua Institute in upstate New York – – in order to establish appropriate standards , found that differs from the road and area lighting , and how the solid-state lighting especially power LED light including high power LED flood light could be better used in lighting among pedestrians .
