Tokenized stocks, often called “stock tokens” or “xStocks”, are blockchain-based digital assets that track the price of real US equities like TSLA, NVDA, AAPL, SPY, and QQQ. They are not CFDs (contracts for difference) and not direct ownership of the underlying shares. Instead, they represent a claim on a pool of real stocks held by a regulated custodian such as Ondo Finance, Backed, or Tokencan. The issuer mints tokens on Ethereum, Solana, or BNB Chain, and you trade them on centralized exchanges like Bitget.

Key differences from real US stocks:

• No SEC registration — you don’t need a US bank account or broker.
• Trading hours — 24/7, not just US market hours.
• Dividend handling — some tokens pass dividends as stablecoins; others reinvest into the token price.
• KYC — you only need the platform’s KYC, not a US brokerage account.
• Region restrictions — residents of the US, China, and some sanctioned countries are often blocked.

On Bitget, you’ll find tokenized stocks under the “Stocks” tab or the “RWA” section. Look for the “xStock” or “Tokenized Stock” label.

If you want real ownership, you can withdraw your tokenized stocks to a non-custodial wallet like MetaMask. Bitget supports withdrawals on Ethereum (ERC-20) or BNB Chain (BEP-20). Go to “Withdraw”, select the stock token, enter your wallet address, and confirm. Network fees apply (e.g., $5–$20 on Ethereum). Note: not all exchanges accept tokenized stocks; you may only be able to trade them back on Bitget or other supported DEXs.

• Not direct equity ownership: Tokenized stocks are not shares registered in your name. You rely on the issuer’s solvency and custody.
• Issuer/regulatory risk: If the issuer (e.g., Ondo, Backed) faces legal action or bankruptcy, your token could become worthless. Some issuers are not regulated in your jurisdiction.
• Liquidity and premium/discount: Outside US trading hours, token price may deviate from the underlying stock’s NAV. You may sell at a discount or buy at a premium.
• Platform rule changes: Exchanges can delist tokens, change fees, or suspend withdrawals without notice. Always read the exchange’s RWA terms.
• Region availability: Bitget blocks certain countries (e.g., USA, mainland China, Iran, North Korea). Use a VPN if you are from a restricted region, but be aware of legal implications.
• Dividends are not guaranteed: Not all tokens pass through dividends. Even if they do, the timing and amount may differ from the real stock’s payout.
