The horn antenna is a broadband passive device, shaped like a pyramid horn, referred to as a TEM antenna, which guides the beam of radio waves at a precise frequency. FT-RF Double Ridged Horn antennas have frequency capabilities ranging from 200MHz to 70GHz depending on type and style. These series are characterized by a huge frequency range and extremely high input powers. With increasing frequency, the gain rises to a maximum of 18 dBi. At higher frequencies, the increased gain compensates for the increasing cable losses.
The advantages of Horn antenna:
- Wide bandwidth: Because the horn antenna has no resonant parts, it can function over a wide range of frequencies.
- Easy waveguide interface: These antennas are very easy to interface to waveguide due to their shape, but they can also be designed with a transition so that a regular coaxial feeder can be used.

The horn is suitable for both transmitting and receiving purposes, especially suitable for EMC and immunity test measurements.

其次,500M/250M速度係指最高可供應之線路速度(Line rate),用戶實際上彀速度(Data rate)會因終端裝備之軟硬體、距離及地點位置等因素之影響,會産生上彀速度下降的現象;民眾申辦前不成不察。
有網友暗示,台灣有部分地域基本沒有光纖上彀,並且「並非每區都能辦500M」。還有網友認為「2年約滿後回歸牌價,牌價是1,799耶,到時刻再降速嗎?」別的有人說「這對低收入家庭來講,用得很費勁」;「我只用最低價光纖16M/3M,省錢至上!」「這方案都是有錢人在用的,我只用$388 4G吃到飽連電腦」。

中華電信在6月初推出500M低價「隱藏版」方案,只需月繳1,099元,相較原價1,799元,等於打了6折極為划算!先前曾激發申辦人潮,但那時此方案並沒有正式通知佈告,門市人員接獲的資訊不一,也導致很多想申辦的民眾撲空。該公司在取得NCC核准後,今朝將此優惠方案公然讓吻合資格的人申辦。

此方案名稱為「速在必行」,主推500M下載和250M上傳的高速光纖上彀,每個月只要1,099元,申辦期間自6月30日起至12月30日止,長達半年可讓民眾免去列隊之虞,還可享0元收看6個月Hami Video影劇館或電視館的優惠。

對此,中華電信網站確切有註明:「綁約時代內HiNet上彀費、電路月租費依促銷價格計收,於完工次日起生效。第25個月起,各速度按當時公告費率計收。」也就是說,兩年後合約到期回復原價1,799元,也有可能依其時費率計收。兩年後用戶若不想每月繳1,799元,就必需選擇降速,中華電信針對降速用戶需酌收電路異動費400元。
該公司也提示想申辦的用戶,光世代網路服務因遭到距離及裝備限制,申租對象以該公司產品手藝可達之範圍為限,民眾可至中華電信網站(www.cht.com.tw)查詢地點地點是不是可申裝光世代。
