它相當於中文裡的”沒有…也行”，”就將就著吧”！
類似這樣的片語，難就難在它太簡單，簡單到我們幾乎忘了它的存在。
來看兩個例句：

• I can do without your advice.（不需要你的忠告。）
• If we can't afford a car, we'll just have to do without (one).（要是買不起汽車，也就只好不用。）
