多明尼加籍23歲內野手馬丁尼茲（Jorge Martinez）與日本讀賣巨人簽下育成選手合約，推測將會有20000元美金（約63萬台幣）的年薪。

馬丁尼茲是名右投，左右開攻型的打者，身高188公分，體重77公斤，主要守備位置為游擊、外野。

馬丁尼茲2010年到2015年間待在小聯盟，並曾待過印地安人及太空人，不過最高層級只到1A，小聯盟生涯累積1199打數，打出276支安打，有29發全壘打，打擊率2成3。

馬丁尼茲表示，非常感謝有機會在日本打球，我會努力，並展現出要成為支高雄薪轉信貸配下選手的野心。

陸客不來，陸配團體有感，中華婦女聯合會理事長何建華指出，兩岸人民交流意願降低，與大陸民眾感受台灣政府不友善和台獨意識仇中心態有關，特別是遼寧團火燒車事件使人心有餘悸，且從調查到後續處理過程都讓人不滿意，「很多陸客考量旅費相差無幾之下，寧可選擇赴日韓或星馬等地旅遊。」

「陸客人數下滑是意料中的事」何建華表示，兩岸關係變得這麼差，蔡英文不承認九二共識，造成政局不穩，加上近來發生有陸配被取消身分證變成無國籍人球案、警察和導遊辱罵陸配426等社會事件，都影響陸客觀感，覺得來台灣不安全，擔心走在路上，遇上台獨人士被打。

「連我在大陸的女兒都不想來台灣看我，覺得台灣仇中意識太強。」何建華說，台灣仇中氛圍越來越濃，陸客就更不敢來台，她周遭的陸配姐妹常勸家人、親友不要來台，免得熱臉貼冷屁股，送錢給台灣人還要挨人辱罵輕視，不值得。

在台灣從事旅遊業的陸配楊小姐也說，520後很多陸客來台灣玩過就不想再來，台灣商家常把陸客當肥羊宰，私下對陸客也不友善，從目前歧視和對立情況來看，還不如選擇到日韓或星馬泰等國家，至少到了那邊，感覺是被人歡迎而不是敵視。
