留意到大家學英文只是死背, 爲甚麽日期的數字後要加"st", "nd", "rd" 或"th"? 只因爲我們説日期的方法跟英語人不同, 我們説"七月一號", 他們説成"七月的第一日"(the first day of July), 我們説"七月三十號", 他們説成"七月的第三十日"(the thirtieth day of July). 即是, 日子一定要説成第X日. 然後,爲了書冩方便, 就簡化成 1st July, 2nd July, 3rd July, 4th July,...30th July...., 原文如下: 1st=first 2nd=second 3rd=third 4th=fourth 5th=fifth 6th=sixth 7th=seventh 8th=eighth 9th=ninth 10th=tenth 11th=eleventh 12th=twelfth 13th=thirteenth 14th=fourteenth ... 20th=twentieth 21st=twenty-first 22nd=twenty-second 23rd=twenty-third 24th=twenty-fourth ... 30th=thirtieth 31st=thirty-first 希望大家明白背後的道理, 就不用死記硬背了.
