RS Components now offers Samtec’s Tiger Eye discrete wire system with a 1.27mm (0.05”) pitch. The connector system is intended for micro rugged applications, demanding high reliability and mating cycles.
C0603X152J5GEC7867Tiger Eye is a multi-finger, heat-treated, BeCu contact intended for rugged environments. The contact mating surface is on the flat, smooth side of all fingers, giving lower contact resistance and longer plating life. Additionally, the spring properties of BeCu make it excellent for high mating cycle applications. The 1.27mm system passes the ten-year MFG test for up to 1,000 mating cycles.
The system is offered as components or complete assemblies with a selection of PVC or Teflon cable, in 28 and 30AWG. The TFM and SFM series are mated socket and terminal sets offered in vertical, right-angle and horizontal orientations in a mixture of stack heights with through-hole or SMT terminations. To evade mismatch, the connectors are polarised single and double row and keyed. The shrouded body supports blind mating. Screw down, locking clip, friction latching and weld tab ruggedising options are also offered.
