對於熱火高層接連的「謊言」失去耐心的「閃電俠」韋德，昨天宣告將以2年4700萬美元(約台幣15.3億)條件加盟公牛，正式回到自己家鄉芝加哥打球，他隨即用親筆信寫出離開心情，「這並不是很容易的決定，但我相信是正確的。」

生涯13個球季都待在熱火的韋德，幫助熱火拿過3次總冠軍，不過效力熱火期間，他不只一次刻意降薪以協助熱火找來強援，熱火卻始終不願提供高薪給他，就連今年夏天也僅提出2年4000萬美元條件，當然引發韋德不滿走人。

儘管公鹿與金塊也想追逐韋德，不過韋德一心只想回到家鄉打球，因為「公牛」對他意義非凡，「從小就看公牛比賽，是激勵我在童年想要成為職業籃球員的主因，我從未忘記過我的出身，很感激能有機會加入公牛打球。」韋德說。

如此一來，熱火即將進入「後韋德時期」，回顧韋德效力熱火13個年頭，他幫熱火拿到例行賽高達5成82勝率，11次闖進季後賽，季後賽勝率也有6成13，6次闖進分區冠軍賽，且奪下3次總冠軍，如今這些都成歷史。

為了迎接韋德的加盟，公牛趕在昨天清出球隊的薪資空間，先把鄧里維送去騎士，接著把卡德隆換到湖人，儘管在今年夏天自由市場，保羅蓋索（去馬刺）與諾亞（去尼克）皆已離開公牛，但是他們的全新「三巨頭」總算成形。

公牛全新三巨頭將是韋德、隆多與吉米巴特勒，仍保下季闖進季後賽應有戰力，不過內線只剩羅賓羅培茲、泰吉布生、米洛提奇等人壓陣，明顯較為單薄，接著如何補強調整，就看公牛高層還有沒有錢可以找人。
