The Cube i7 boasts one of Intel’s newest chipset innovations, the Intel Core M, clocked at 1.5GHz but able to go up to 2GHz if necessary. The exact SoC isn’t mentioned by Cube, but it is a chipset of the Broadwell generation for sure, as it features an Intel HD Graphics 5300 GPU. Together with 4GB of RAM, this combination will make up for a decent performance boost when compared to the previous generation of tablets featuring Intel Atom SoCs.
Other specs of the Cube i7 include a 11.6-inch AUO screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with 16:9 ratio, a 2 mega pixel webcam and 5 mega pixel rear cam, stereo speakers, support for 3G and 4G LTE (also FDD-LTE with bands 1, 3 and 7, just like the Cube T7), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, a micro HDMI port, one micro SD card slot, 128GB of internal memory and a 5,000mAh battery.
Cube took it easy when it comes to designing the tab. There is nothing special, the tab looks just simple but sleek and elegant thanks to rounded corners and edges. The color scheme is dominated by black on the front and dark blue on the rear, the latter one probably made from metal. If you were looking forward to the worlds thinnest tablet with 5.8mm after the initial rumors, you might be disappointed though. The Cube i7 is 9.5mm thick, which still is thinner compared to Cube’s previous Windows tablets.
