國民黨的「換柱行動」幾成定局，南投縣中興新村一些藍營的死忠支持者，替洪秀柱感到忿忿不平。他們說，洪秀柱出來若是要拋磚引玉，哪會拖了好幾個月，才跑出一塊玉。有支持者說，若洪不選，他們的政治獻金應該退還。
一名退休的警官說，一家人長期支持國民黨，日前到台中市參加挺柱活動，入口處有志工拿著捐款箱喊話，「每人樂捐一百元」。他告訴志工，100元太少，他們家每人捐1000元，一家人共捐了5000元。如果洪秀柱不選，募款的原因消失，這些政治獻金總該退還吧。
退休警官說，他全心挺藍，不在乎那五千元，只是對國民黨選前換將的作法不能認同。早在黨內提名時，就是朱立倫、王金平等人怯戰，才會有洪秀柱跳出來「拋磚引玉」，結果拖了好幾個月，才引出一塊玉出來，這讓支持者太失望了。
國民黨南投縣黨部主委李哲華說，總統選舉換柱行動，會在最近的臨全會中定案，若是確定洪秀柱不選，這幾個月的政治獻金，黨中央會有一套完善的處理辦法，絕對不會打迷糊仗。
