馬英九總統今天(7日)將與大陸領導人習近平在新加坡會面，會議地點香格里拉飯店一早就提高維安層級，荷槍實彈的特警已經進駐，並在明顯位置站崗，車輛進出都必須接受嚴格安檢，民眾若想走路進入飯店，也會因刻意隔出的狹窄通道被迫放慢腳步。
歷史性的兩岸領導人會面今天(7日)下午在新加坡香格里拉飯店舉行，一早飯店周邊的維安層級明顯升高，所有進入飯店的通道口都開始執行嚴格的檢查，每輛車都被警方要求打開車門與後行李箱，再手持附有LED燈光的反光鏡詳細檢查車底，以確保沒有異常物體藏在車體下方。維安人員：『(英文原音)(記者：那是什麼？只是鏡子嗎？)是的，是鏡子，用來檢視車底狀況』
除不時見到警用汽車或機車四處巡邏外，荷槍實彈的特警也已進駐飯店。民眾與媒體記者雖然可以自由進出飯店，但警方刻意隔出一條只能容納1人寬度的通道，每個走路通過的人都必須放慢腳步。
「馬習會」場地安排在香格里拉飯店的「Island Ballroom」，昨日下午便已開始管制人員進出，並在大廳內架設金屬探測門與X光機；今天上午不到7時，電子媒體已經開始排隊。
