牛市跟熊市

Experts say it's a bull market when the price of shares on the stock market is rising. And they say it's a bear market when the price of shares on the stock market is falling.

牛市（bull market）跟熊市（bear market）特指股票市場上，股票價格漲跌的稱呼。而這種稱呼也來自於動物的攻擊方式。牛的攻擊為騰跳用角往上攻擊，所以牛市指漲幅。熊的攻擊是用手往下抓傷對手，所以跌幅為熊市。

而牛與熊除了可以指股票價格的波動外，在中國也用「牛」來當成稱讚他人厲害的形容詞，譬如說「你很牛！」「他是個牛人！」；而「熊」主要為貶義，指無能或是不可理喻，譬如說「你個熊樣！」「真拿這熊孩子沒法子！」
